4 Narrative Facts

Before:
-Christmas was the next day
-Della explained her living situation and how she only had $1.87 for her husband, Jim's presents
-Della was determined to buy Jim's watch chain, so she decided to sell her long hair.

During:
-Della cut her hair and received $20 for it.
- She hurried to find the perfect watch chain for Jim
-Once Della bought Jim's watch chain she rushed home.

After:
-Once being home she wonders if Jim will like her new hair style or would he be angry.
-Jim gets home and very surprised to see Della's new hair because he bought her a comb with the money he received for selling his watch.
-Della then explained to Jim how she cut her hair to buy the watch chain.

Project 3: PICK MOOD/CONCEPT

1. What appeals to you about your story, and the vision/concept you have for your environment.

-For project 3 I chosen the story "Gift of the Magi" because it's a love story between two people who both sacrifice something valuable in their life in order to make the other person happy. From the "director take" on this, I envision their living environment in a poor living condition. In the story it states the couples are struggling and going through some difficulties with financial problems.

2. Between 3 to 6 adjectives that describe emotions your painting will communicate

-Humble, sweet, hopeful, faithful, gentle, warm.

3. List colors that will communicate those emotions (moods) as well as the dominant shape language and lighting considerations.

-I'll probably use grey, blue, brown, or red using analogous or monochromatic base color. the dominant shape language would be curves and the lighting consideration would be a little dark to show their poor living situation but not too dark because I also want to show the love or faithfulness that lives in their home.

Hello everyone! I'm a student at Cal State Fullerton and I'll be showing some of my work!
